ART X lagos

Well some of you might know this and others not, that I don’t go out much. To be honest I have a triangular life..home – school – church…😂 I honestly just love my bed and most times I don’t want to face reality. Lagos is too noisy and busy, I wouldn’t mind moving to somewhere like Calabar… Well I guess it’s less noisy there.

Moving on, I felt a great way for me to break out of that hold was to attend the ArtX Lagos fair. And believe me it was amazing. The ArtX Lagos is an art fair with 65 artists, 10 countries and 30 exhibitions. West Africa’s first international art fair. The fair ran from Friday the 4th till Sunday the 6th of November.

There was an installation view of an ArtX live studio, the live studio saw five talented young artists start and finish an art piece while the guest observed and participated in the creative process.it was an exceptional experience.

Starting from the far left – right, we have the work of Olatunde Alara, Yadichinma Kalu, Uthman Wahab, Osione Itgboje and Stacy Okparavero. Photo credit @ashantiimmigrant
